Recycling
Everyone has a duty to protect the environment and, after a long working life, a Mitsubishi vehicle needs to be disposed of in a responsible way when it is no longer of use.
Mitsubishi Recycling Programme
Mitsubishi vehicle owners can now dispose of their waste automotive, portable and Industrial batteries (from electric/hybrid vehicles) free of charge.
As the official importer and distributor of Mitsubishi passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in the UK, The Colt Car Company Ltd wants to ensure that vehicles we have imported are taken back and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner. This is in accordance with the EC Directive (2000/53/EC) on End of Life Vehicles (ELVs) and the relevant UK Regulations implementing that Directive.
From 1st January 2007 all Mitsubishi ELVs imported and distributed by The Colt Car Company Ltd will be taken back free of charge, from the last owner, at any one of our authorised take-back points. This is provided that the vehicle still contains all its major components and does not have additional waste in it.
Our authorised take-back points will issue you with a Certificate of Destruction (COD), which is required by the DVLA as proof of de-registration and destruction of your Mitsubishi vehicle.
